Check out the beautiful fried goodness below. Chick-fil-a fries their chicken in a pressure cooker peanut oil, which apparently is a superior oil to frying due to its high smoking point. I've heard a rumor that they marinade their chicken breasts in pickle juice, not sure if it's true, but whatever it is that's going on in their kitchen leads to pure fried chicken-y goodness.
I loved the toasted and lightly buttered bun and the two pickles. The chicken was moist and extremely flavorful. Best fried chicken sandwich I've ever had.
I've heard that Mickey Ds is trying to horn in on CFA's market by offering what some have called a poor substitute, a look alike sandwich called the Southern Style Chicken Sandwich. Inspired by Adam Kuban's head to head match up on Serious Eats, I am going to try to fit in a head to head sandwich match up of my own here in Atlanta, home of the original Chick-Fil-A.
