Zach and all of his motley commenters, Amanda, everyone at Serious Eats, Grub Street, the Treats Truck, the wonderful ladies from Cupcakes Take the Cake, Danny, Cakespy, and well, everyone whose ever visited us, including the thousands googling "Blondie Fuego TV." Now may we present our favoritest moments from the past year...
The Walgreens Challenge. Proof that A) I will eat anything once, and B) that you shouldn't buy food in Times Square. I've even kept the death note.
The Co. vs Motorino Head-to-Head. Often imitated, never duplicated; that's right, I'm looking at you Alan Richman and Frank Bruni. LOLz, it's all good. Not really.
The Vendys. The most super awesome awards around; suck on that Beards. I kid, I kid. This is probably the only reason to be okay with the end of summer.
My first taste of New Haven pizza. Third attempt at making it to New Haven was the charm, and it is completely worth going there. I wish I could go home with Brownie every time she does!
My first In-N-Out burger. Oh, dear, and God.
Blondie covered some pretty excellent moments. Here are a few more...
Elvis Cupcakes: Banana cupcake. Peanut Butter Frosting. Candied Bacon sprinkles. May I repeat, candied bacon sprinkles? I rest my case.
Big Apple BBQ: Fast Pass tickets are now on sale.
Fancy Food Show: Aw, this is where the magic all went down in '07. Blondie and I walked the floor and got the idea for starting a food blog. So excellent to return to cover the show in '08.
SWEET at the NY Food and Wine Festival: Ok, I think I'm seeing a trend. Brownie loves events that allow her to taste a variety of foods on a colossal scale. Still thinking about yummy alcoholic milkshakes.
A Daughter of New Haven tries DiFara's: Best pizza in New York. Hands downs.
Here's to another great year!
