Taking on the Treats Truck, One Treat at a Time: Spring Flowers and Passover Goodies

Flower Sugar Cookie

Due to our crazy schedules, Brownie and I hadn't been to the truck in a while, so I was excited to get my treat on yesterday. Much to my surprise and delight, Kim has been making the regular sugar dots as flowers covered in colored sugar. So spring! So retro hippie!

Flower and Animal Sugar Dots
Kim told me that she's been having fun with colored sugar, and making these for a few weeks now. They plan on keeping them around for a while. In addition to these happy flowers, the Truck's been making animal cookies for their charity of the month, the Wildlife Conservation Society. Of course, those will be making an in-depth appearance here within a few days; I had my eye on the hippopotamus and alligator.

Kim is also making more Passover Treats this year. Yesterday was the apricot squares made with matzo meal. Brownie and I split one of these too; it's fruity and sweet with a nice complementing base, not too dry or heavy. Certifiably delicious.
