Like we told you earlier this month, the Treats Truck's charity of the month is the Wildlife Conservation Society, and Kim and co. are selling special animal shaped cookies to highlight it. Well, Brownie and I finally got a chance to try them and they are so much fun!
When I stopped by to pick up a couple, the hippo and alligator, Kim asked for a color choice. I could have gotten them in pink, but I decided to be a realist and get purple and green. The sugar cookies themselves are crunchy and delicious, the fun comes in the animal shapes. I'm a kid at heart, I have fond memories of animal crackers-so much so that I make them on my own-animal shapes just get me where I live. Of course, there's the added fact that these are helping the Bronx Zoo, among other things. Added up, they warm my cold heart and I love Kim for it.
PSA-WCS's first ever Run for the Wild 5K Run/Walk is this Saturday beginning at 9am at the Bronx Zoo, and though it's been dreary and cold all week, this weekend looks like it's going to be PERFECT for such events. For more information or to donate, click here. Save the gorillas!
