I have BIG news to share: I am moving to North Brooklyn. This week. Brownie may not even know yet, she's still in Italy and I haven't heard a peep from her in a few days. It all happened very quickly, and it now means that I have to actual pack and move my stuff, like now.
So, though you may not get a lot out of me this week, expect to hear much more about Motorino, Peter Pan, Greenpoint, Williamsburg, maybe even a little Bushwick. Not that I'm turning my back on Queens as I will be visiting often, but I guess you can now call me Brooklyn Blondie?

Welcome to North Brooklyn in advance! It's nice over here.
will you be near Cobble Hill? Lots of nice restaurants (especially Middle Eastern) around there. :)
Gar..you are right..There are lots of good restaurants and bars..
North Brooklyn isn't suuuper close to Cobble Hill, Brooklyn Heights, etc, but I hope you go explorin' down south. I live in Clinton Hill (not particularly close to Cobble Hill, etc) but I love going to venture in those areas. Sahadi's on Atlantic Avenue is the best store EVER.
good luck with the move! i just moved too. man, it's hellish no matter how easy it is!
Welcome to the 'hood. Hope I see you around. Maybe in Cookie Road.
Thanks everyone. Expect more Brooklyn, including Cobble Hill!
Congrats! That's awesome news :) Hope you enjoy your new place and exciting to read more posts about Brooklyn.
You'll love it -- lots of new food territory to discover. Don't miss the Greenpoint greenmarket, Saturday mornings in McCarren Park (at Bedford and Lorimer) -- Not quite as nice as the Boro Hall or Grand Army Plaza markets, but a great neighborhood farmer's market nonetheless.
