Peter Pan is Not Just About Doughnuts

Banana Nut Muffin
I've already told you about the greatness that is Peter Pan Bakery's chocolate doughnut. And I'll save telling you about their red velvet doughnuts and crullers-my co-workers especially loved those. But in the meantime, has anyone told you about their muffins? Yes, muffins.

Whenever I move, the first week typically involves a lot of eating out for every meal. I have to get comfortable before I can really go to town in the kitchen. Of course, I used this tradition as an excuse to get Peter Pan a lot. Not wanting to gain too much moving weight, I took a chance on their muffins. Now before you say "That's just as fattening as a doughnut," theirs aren't the enormous, 'split it four ways and still have meal' muffins. Rather they're the ordinary, smaller muffins. Enough for a luxurious breakfast, but not an everyday meal-at least, not for me. My first one was the blueberry, sorry there's no photo evidence. I can say it may be the best blueberry muffin I've ever had; light, fluffy, with juicy blueberries inside, it was absolute heaven. The next day I headed back and while the blueberry muffins were out, they did have the banana nut. Another winner, moist, full of banana flavor, and not overwhelmed with nuts. It was like an awesome slice of banana nut bread, but as a muffin.

Blondie, I can't wait for you to start sampling all the babka in town. I can give you touts and prices on all the best ones. Shapes, fillings, freshness. I have made a very complete study on all of this. Since my name is Elaine, I can say "nothing beats a babka" haha.
