Midtown Lunch: Chocolate, Pizza, and Fried Sandwiches

Oyster Bar Sandwich Line Up
Brownie and I share love for a lot things; one love is celebrating holidays, even when it isn't for us. Sort of like how the Arabs in Israel are eating all the matzoh! Oh, Nutella-slathered matzoh, delicious. Here's what we've been up to in Midtown Lunch-land.

Two Boots' No. 6
While I didn't find Nutella matzoh, I did eat a respectable amount of Passover sweets. Our love for the pizza runs deep, and we need to eat lots of it. First I tried the special No. 6 at Two Boots in Grand Central (first time I'd had Two Boots in well over a year,) and then I tried the $6 special from 57 Napoli Pizza e Vino. Finding treats from great bakeries in places other than the official location makes us feel like we stumbled upon a 13 1/2 floor. The love of ice cream is being indulged by our stalking of Big Gay Ice Cream.

Brownie displayed our love of free-loading by checking out free cone day at Ben & Jerry's, and free waffle day at Wafels & Dinges. Our love of cheap Japanese lunch specials came out with Teriyaki Boy's $3.99 lunch. Thankfully the love of fried sandwiches from Grand Central Oyster Bar is shared by our fellow Midtown Lunch contributors. Fancy Viennese desserts, while delicious, should never cost $8 a slice. Lastly, I may love the booze, but I don't think Brownie's supposed to (or ever should again) eat a vodka slice!
