My Favorite Savories of 2012
The holidays are passing us by and the New Year will be commencing within the week. It's time to look back on the year that was--here are my favorite savory meals of 2012.
Eating poutine off a truck in Seattle
Some of the best fried chicken I've had in a long while out on Shelter Island
And some of the best Korean fried chicken at Talde in Park Slope
Or maybe the Fried Chicken Ramen I had from Hapa Ramen in SF.
A simple plate of fresh mozzarella, plump in-season heirloom tomatoes, and creamy burrata.
Or fresh grapes on pizza, like the Grapeful Dead at Paulie Gee's.
A taste of The Brindle Room's burger at Googa Mooga.
The best breakfast sandwich known to Queens.
And Queen's SriPraPhai fried soft shell crab.
